Ealing named regeneration hotspot

Residential specialist Savills has identified Ealing and Southall among 15 short-term regeneration hotspots in London.

The report about London's housing market was presented at a post-election housing event in the capital on 1 July. The borough has more than 1,000 private units in the pipeline to be built between 2015 and 2019. After 2020, the number of private units is also expected to top 1,000.

Other areas identified include: Hounslow, Harrow, Brent Cross to Hendon, Ilford, Barking town centre, the Lower Lea Valley, East London Riverside, Thamesmead and Abbey Wood, Surrey Quays Surrey Canal, Clapham Junction, Elephant and Castle, Waterloo/South Bank and Euston.
