An opportunity has emerged for local traders, entrepreneurs, charities and businesses to apply for a short tenancy in a new pop-up shop in Ealing Broadway.
The council said the lease will run between 1 and 28 December and will open between 8am and 6pm seven days a week for retail trade, as well as for meetings and workshops.
The pop-up shop will be located at the Springbridge Road car park in the borough, where more than 13,000 cars were parked in December 2014.
A week-long lease at the site costs £200 and workshops will be charged at a rate of £25 an hour.
Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport and environment, said: “This is an excellent opportunity, particularly as we approach Christmas, for an up and coming business to get first-hand experience of trading in the town centre. It's also exciting for shoppers who will have the chance to support local traders and buy some unique goods.
“Springbridge Road car park has already played host to a pop-up cinema and this is a natural next step. I am looking forward to seeing some exciting applications.”
