Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College has been awarded the Investors in People bronze award, a standard which recognises business success in staff development and performance.
Special praise was reserved for the college’s ability to plan at local level and its corporate social responsibility activities.
Mary McDougall, head of administration, who was responsible for coordinating the initiative, said: "This is a testament to the journey travelled from the last Investors in People review, and I am very pleased about the improvement we were able to demonstrate."
In other news, the business and retail department of the college is to join the Jack Petchey Achievement award scheme.
This allows the college to hand out awards to young people, including an allocation of £200 to a particular area of the college.
Pupils and teachers will nominate students for awards, put forward for "acts of altruism, mentorship, bravery, volunteering and an ability to cope with adversity and hard work".
Head of the business and retail department, Robbie Gono said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate our young learners."
In sport, the college football team recently visited Loftus Road, home of QPR, where they had the chance to meet first-team player DJ Campbell and tour the ground.
