Phase one of the regeneration of Acton Gardens in Ealing, part of a joint venture between developer Countryside Properties and housing association L&Q is gathering pace, with three of six blocks now completed and handed over.

The phase one homes are being built on the site of the former Kipling Tower, with the remaining three blocks set to be completed and ready for occupation by September 2013.

A spokesperson for Countryside Properties said: "Our homes have proved to be extremely popular, with over 85 per cent of the phase one homes already sold.

"The partners, residents and the wider community will be celebrating the completion of the first phase later in the year.”

The scheme will deliver 2,600 new, mixed tenure homes and associated facilities over the next 17 years.

Phase two is now in progress after the demolition of Blackmore Tower, with outline planning consent for the masterplan and detailed planning consent for phase one and two already secured.
