Arcadia site 'could still house sykscaper'

Property developer Benson Elliott has not ruled out the inclusion of some kind of high-rise building on its one-acre Arcadia site in Ealing, it has emerged.

The firm said it was taking the rejection of a 26-storey tower for the site proposed by previous owners Glenkerrin as a “starting point” for a new consultation, but had an “open book” approach to the future, Architects Journal reported.

Benson Elliott has submitted plans for the low-rise regeneration of the shopping centre half of its Central Ealing site, but will consult on ideas for the remaining land in the coming weeks.
