One Housing Group has opened its first development in Ealing - a 56 home mixed-use scheme that comes with 1,050 sq metres of commercial space.

Just over half of the homes at the £17 million project in Bollo Lane are for private sale, and around a quarter are shared ownership.

The development features solar panels and green roofs to attract local wildlife.

One Housing Group development director Alan Williams said he expected the scheme’s mix of housing to cultivate a balanced, sustainable

“Bollo Lane is a great example of how our development model is working,” he said.

“Even with reduced grants, we are using the profit from our private sales to enable us to continue building affordable homes.”

Hitesh Tailor, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for housing, said the authority was committed to meeting the needs of people who currently faced overcrowded and unsuitable accommodation.

“These high quality private and affordable homes are improving the physical environment and social mix, whilst helping develop homes and communities that are places where people really want to live,” he said.
