The government has approved a vision document locating new homes, jobs and transport in the borough up to 2026.

The council’s development strategy, developed over the past five years after consultation with residents, has now been approved by a planning inspector and will be formally adopted by the Ealing Council in April.

Council leader Julian Bell said: “The plan affects everyone in the borough and looks at how, where and when we’ll provide new housing, create new jobs, protect and improve our green spaces and heritage, and ensure that community facilities and transport service are provided. We have worked hard to ensure we get it right for Ealing and the inspector’s approval endorses this.”
